New Horizons has been monitoring the Coronavirus evolving situation and we want to update our customers on the measures we have in place to ensure the health and safety of our students and our team members.

We created this page to be a resource where you can find updated, valuable and reliable information. On this page you will find links to reliable information related to the virus as well as information on protecting yourself.

Precautions New Horizons Has Taken

New Horizons has already taken precautions to combat the spread of the flu and other viruses with rigorous cleaning and sanitizing using appropriate disinfecting agents. Additional measures have been put in place to increase the frequency of disinfecting common areas such as tables, chairs, equipment, and doorknobs. Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer are available throughout our centers for customer use. Team members who are sick or have a fever have been instructed to stay home. Team members and students who develop symptoms will be sent home immediately.

Protecting Ourselves

The World Health Organization has provided guidance on how to protect yourself. Some of the common strategies include:

  • Clean hands with alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and water.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or tissue when coughing and sneezing.
  • Maintain social distance with anyone who may seem unwell.
  • Stay at home if you begin to feel unwell, even with mild symptoms such as headache and slight runny nose, until you recover.
  • Seek medical care if you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing

Learning Options

New Horizons offers virtual instructor-led, online training. Online Live (OLL) features live instructor led training, hands-on labs, group break-out sessions and can be taken from the comfort of your home or office.

Attending classes via OLL provides all the benefits of instructor led training, but mitigates any risk of exposure to Coronavirus. Visit our OLL Page for more information about OLL.
